Rest and Mindfulness

Sleep is a period of rest and recuperation for the body and brain. We all vary in the amount of sleep we need.

Factors such as age, lifestyle, diet, personality and environment can all play a part.

Mindfulness in everyday life requires us to break out of the pattern of automatic pilot through a process of stopping and ‘waking up’.

When we stop, we remind ourselves to come back to mindful awareness, and back to the present moment.

Rest and relaxation are core elements of good mental health. Activities like mindfulness can take a bit of practice; there’s lots of ways to incorporate these tips into daily living.
